My favourite bench
I was drinking and quenching
When saw I this wench
- A beautiful girl
On bicycle purling
My heart began hurling.
I scrawled a note
And placed at your port
But chances were naught,
Knocked twice at your door
And cleared from the floor
Was guided by lore.
I called you and talked
"Come out for a walk"
And then I just sulked;
The phone was cast
My blood running fast
The heart as to blast.
You didn’t come out
I wandered about
And then noted out:
A cycling beauty
So pure as on duty
My eyes joyed the view.
On Saturday evening
When sun was still heating
We had the first meeting.
We met every night
To love and to fight
What’s wrong and what’s right.
I loved you so much
We were perfect match
But you found a hatch,
Your neighbour was wrong
But you heard his song
And left me for long.
But hear what I say
‘T is my only way
To member that day;
I will always love you
Yet guilt is above you,
But I am relentless
- And I will be back
