The Fairy Tale

(to be given a proper name!)

27/01/1999
Another day over, the sun goes away
The stars are awaiting the end of the day
Darkness is falling - it's time for a tale
Birds cease their song, wolves start their wail

Beyond three nines kingdoms and three tens of lands
A snowstorm is freezing the sanctified sands
Sledges are swept by six reindeers
Chasing the stars through deserts of fears

Brother and sister playing with snow
- "Mum, why are mountains moving so slow?"
Eyes in the void, thoughts far away
- "Soon we'll be there, by end of next day"

Hilltops get closer, so does the sound -
Eagle-like creatures circling around
Watching the sledge leave a trail in the snow
Watching the boy venture out below...

- "Kein, you'll fall!" - "Get away from the edge!"
- "I wanted to touch the tracks of the sledge..."
The look in the eyes is perfectly clear
Father is angry - "Please watch him, my dear"

Time passes by, darkness still deep
Mother and daughter have fallen asleep
Father is whipping the deer to run fast
Kein is reaching again, and at last -

Touching the tracks, snow feels like sand
Kein is holding with one little hand
Alas! There's a bump, a slight sudden jump
He loses controls, and he falls

"Mama!" - a cry through the desert of fears
Nobody answers, nobody hears
Farther and farther - the sight disappears
Colder and colder - and freezes the tears

Nowhere to go, nowhere to be found
Eagle-like creatures circling around
Slowly the birds are beginning to dive
Kein is in terror - "They'll eat me alive!"

Beyond three nines kingdoms a second reflection
Past three tens of lands, but in different direction
A grand celebration will shortly begin
A beautiful girl has been born to the Queen

The King is saluted, a toast is proposed
A speech is delivered, the will is composed
The lords and the ladies are queuing in patience
The King is receiving his congratulations

The music is playing, the party is loud
But not all is well, a thief is about...

To be continued...
